The translation domains in which I work include:
- Clinical trials
My main interests and working areas in this field are PILs, SPCs, product packaging, scientific articles, toxicology reports, pharmacovigilance, and drug manufacturing reports.
This is an extremely exciting developing area of science and enables me to combine my knowledge of the pharmaceuticals and healthcare industries. I frequently translate texts such as clinical trial protocols, research, patient consent forms, investigator’s brochures and ethics committee communications.
I typically work with life sciences including general medicine, dermatology, food sciences and infectious diseases. I recently translated a large project on the topic of bacterial resistance to antibiotics.
My interest in this discipline stems from personal interest which has led to numerous projects in this domain, including the translation of a diet and nutrition book. In February 2014, I will be commencing a Coursera course on Nutrition for Health Promotion and Disease Prevention to strengthen my knowledge of this increasingly relevant domain.
I am receiving an increasing number of translations relating to cosmetics and skincare, including marketing materials and the more scientific background to product development, including research in dermatology and skin disorders.
